Sanctioned Events for 2024

The following events are on the PNA schedule for 2024, and unless otherwise noted the events are Sanctioned by PNA. Meet information, entry information and results will be available at the links below as they become available.

Whidbey Adventure Swim
Saturday, June 1, Sea Wall Park, Langley, WA
Hosted by South Whidbey Island Masters

The race includes a 1.2 and 2.4 mile race off the shores of Langley, Washington. The course follows a rectangular path beginning and ending at the Seawall Park. Both distances follow a rectangular course with the 1.2 milers turning halfway down the course and the 2.4 milers swimming the full rectangle.

Broadside Harbor Open Water Swim
Saturday, June 29, Broadside Harbor Ski Lakes, Caldwell, ID
Hosted by South Whidbey Island Masters

This event is Sanctioned by the Snake River LMSC, Sanction number 594-W001. The race includes a 1 and 2 mile race off the shores of Broadside Harbor Ski Lakes. The 1-mile race will be an out and back of one lake. The 2-mile swim will be two circuits out and back of the same lake.

Fat Salmon Open Water Swim
Saturday, July 27, Madison Park Beach – Seattle
Hosted by North End Otters Swim Team

The race follows a 3.2-mile race along the Seattle shoreline of Lake Washington.  The course runs South-to-North, generally between the I-90 and 520 floating bridges.  The race starts at the Day Street Boat Ramp directly beneath I-90 and finishes at Madison Park. Registration opens April 20.

Swim Defiance
August 11, Owen Beach in Point Defiance Park, Tacoma
Hosted by Bernardo’s All Stars

Swim Defiance re-enacts the challenging 1926 Dalco Passage crossing . The race location is Owen Beach in Point Defiance Park in Commencement Bay in Tacoma, WA. There is a single 3K race on a linear course swim from Vashon Is (after a 15 min ferry ride) to Owen Beach with competitive and non-competitive divisions

2024 PNA High Point Awards

The awards honor the top two male and female swimmers in each age group in this year’s Open Water races. To be eligible, each swimmer has to two of the three events. Points were awarded to the top 10 PNA registered finishers in each event (22 points for first, 18 points for second, 16 points for third, 14 points for fourth, 12 points for fifth, 10 points for sixth, 8 points for seventh, 6 points for eighth, 4 points for ninth and 2 points for tenth). Different distances and wetsuit/no wetsuit divisions were scored separately. One Event registrants were not eligible. See the PNA website for rules.
